Pigment Description

Pyrrole Red Light is a highly saturated, yellow leaning, red in mass tone, with an intensely orange-red undertone to match. Pyrroles are the ultimate modern reds. Use Pyrrole Red Light as a non-toxic replacement for Cadmium Red Light that is just as opaque, but much cleaner mixing. The high tinting power of Pyrrole Red Light makes it an excellent inclusion in the modern palette, holding its own when mixed with titanium white.

A most interesting colour

I used the interference gold to paint a landscape from a photo I took of a foggy field at dawn…mixed with zinc white, it gives this beautiful transparent glow to the image even after finishing with a matte varnish. Love this colour!

So far I’m impressed

I was anxious to try this paint because most of my sources for heavy body acrylic paint are expensive, sometimes require shipping and duty, and sometimes are out of popular hues in the size I need. So far, this paint has performed well. A bit difficult to unscrew the jar lid at times but the paint itself is great!
