I picked-up some of this 'solid' ink in Peterborough, & it is gelatinous. I was desparate to finish a project, so I used some & it is amazing! I can raise the viscosity with water or specialty medium, but I just use it raw to age & darken my artwork with texture! It resembles oil or ooze. Thank you Tri-Art!

I bought the "new " Ultramarine blue , because it looked good-slight more vibrant,bitmore intense. But until you test it, I don't exactly know how it will affect and behave with other colors. When I mixed it with alizirin-crimson, or med red with TI White , it turns to a WA Grey, not COOL Grey, which I need. Now I can not match my previous cool grey from a classic Ultramarine Blue.
Essentially the difference is that Classic Ultramarine is a red shade vs Modern which is a red shade blue. Tri art meedf to stipulate this on the web site when selecting classic vs Modern. Having said this, can I send this back to have it exchanged to classic Ultramarine Blue?

Tri-Art Cold Press Watercolour Ground

Thank you for sending me these samples of your products. I LOVE the Tri-Art fluid acrylics and the RheoTech paints. Both have excellent pigment load and really nice consistency. The colors I got are great too. The Art Noise Acrylic Gouache are great colors, but much less pigment, and it takes several coats to get true opacity. These should be great for some applications. And they are relatively inexpensive, so I’d recommend them for beginner painters who want a lot of colors without breaking the bank.

A note on the packaging: the lids seem a little flimsy, and I wonder if they break off easily. I LOVE having bilingual labeling! Here in the States there is so little of it, and because I study French I find it really useful. Bilingual labeling is probably not optional in Canada, but still I wanted to say how much I appreciate it!

Tri-Art Mediums - Crackle Ground

Not sure how valuable my opinion is on this since im pretty new to painting itself but by far out of the 8 brands of acrylics that ive tried tri-art as surpassed! it dries fast but not too fast so you cant rush a quick blend in there , spreads like butter but is thick like marshmallow fluff dillutes extremelly well with water and the coverage is unreal opacity is next level ! im sold never will i ever buy anywhere else !

Been wanting these paints for a long time, and I finally got some! These paints are bright and very beautiful. I been a tri-art believer for a long time now, and always will be. I also use their high viscosity acrylics for airbrushing. :). Once I finish a painting I will submit what I have done with these paints. (I take forever), and maybe one day I will have all tri-art watercolors....

As an oil painter with 25 years of experience, and working professionally since 2017, I’ve experimented with many of the big-brand gessoes, but I consistently find that Tri-Art’s gesso stands out in terms of quality and affordability. It offers an excellent tooth and a great absorption rate for oil paint, making it ideal for my work.

For full transparency, I have collaborated with Tri-Art in the past, testing their oil paints, though they didn’t quite align with my particular style. However, I am not sponsored by Tri-Art and genuinely recommend their gesso based on my personal experience.
